Established in 2011, the Department of Commerce and Management introduced the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program as its initial academic offering, welcoming an annual intake of 60 students. The curriculum for this program includes Computer Application as a chosen elective, aiming to integrate modern technology skills with traditional commerce education.
Following the successful launch of the B.Com program, the department expanded its academic portfolio to include the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 2012, also with an intake capacity of 60 students. The BBA program specializes in Human Resource Management (HRM) as its elective subject, preparing students for leadership roles in the evolving business landscape.
The department is supported by a team of 11 dedicated faculty members who bring knowledge and expertise to the classroom. Additionally, the department boasts a state-of-the-art computer lab designed to offer students hands-on experience with the latest digital tools and technologies, further enhancing their learning experience and readiness for the digital age.
In a significant development, the department introduced the Master of Commerce (M.Com) program in 2018, further broadening its academic offerings and providing advanced educational opportunities in commerce and management.
